HumanAbility is the Jobs and Skills Council for the care and support economy. We are responsible for VET qualifications and workforce planning for aged and disability services, children's education and care, health, human (community) services and sport and recreation. We develop strategies to equip workers with the training and skills needed to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

CHC Community Services

This sector supports over 150,000 workers and contributes significantly to public health and social cohesion. From mountain biking and surfing to team sports and athletics, demand is increasing and we want to make sure the workforce is prepared and well-equipped for the future.

The SIS Sport, Fitness and Recreation training package includes qualifications and units of competency for training individuals working in the sport, fitness and recreation industries. Roles range from fitness instructors and personal trainers to coaches and recreation facility staff, and play an important role in Australia’s health and wellbeing.
